Important update from Palouse ENT's Allergy Department:

Palouse ENT's Allergy Department was formed by our local hospitals in order to offer a convenient sub-specialty service to our communities. We were excited to offer allergy testing and immunotherapy when we opened this service line 3 years ago, but have since experienced an influx in the demand for ENT care and a change in staffing that has made it difficult to accommodate our patients in a timely manner. We understand that wait times are an important aspect of our practice, and we are working hard to improve timely access to ENT services.

It was ultimately decided that we discontinue offering allergy skin testing and subcutaneous immunotherapy until we've successfully secured additional staff to support this service. Please note, if you were previously referred and/or scheduled we WILL be honoring your appointment and we plan to continue immunotherapy for established patients. In addition, we will continue to offer environmental and food in-vitro IGE Immuno-Cap testing, medication allergy management, and Penicillin allergy testing.

We feel this is a necessary step and will continue to communicate as we strive for improvement. We thank you for your patience and look forward to better serving you.

For the time being we will no longer offer:

  • Allergy skin testing
  • Subcutaneous immunotherapy

Allergy services still available:

  • Environmental and food in-vitro IGE Immono-Cap testing
  • Medication allergy management
  • Penicillin allergy testing
